2024-2025 Administrators
Darwin Roscoe
-Principal
Growing up in a small town in Northern Alberta, my teachers coached, motivated and inspired me always to be respectful, work hard towards a goal and be resilient when facing challenges. As an educator, I try to instill those same attributes in the students with who I work.
I have always been passionate about education and have taught Physical Education, Mathematics and Technology while coaching Volleyball, Basketball, Cross country running and Track and field.
My latest endeavour involves receiving my Professional Mountain Bike Instructor qualification and instructing mountain biking.
I have worked as Vice-Principal at Eastview Middle School, Hunting Hills High School and École Lindsay Thurber High School. In 2014 I worked as a Learning Coordinator for the Red Deer Public School Division central office before becoming the Principal at Hunting Hills High School.
I have been a teacher and administrator for over 25 years. I believe students should be encouraged to excel in the arts, athletics, technologies, and various activities. My experience has made it abundantly clear that ALL students can learn and be successful. Our job is to provide opportunity and optimal instruction to motivate and inspire them to be their best versions.

-Vice Principal - Grade 12
It is my pleasure to be the Vice Principal for the Grade 11 at Hunting Hills High School. I am proud to work with the excellent staff at Hunting Hills and to be a part of the many ways HHHS works together to best support their students and their learning needs.
I am in my 8th year as an Administrator in our district and second year as a Vice Principal at Hunting Hills High School.
Before coming to Hunting Hills, I was Vice-Principal of Alternative School Programs for 6 years. Before taking the leap to Administration I was the Inclusion Support Counsellor at Lindsay Thurber for 5 years, Counsellor/Teacher at Glendale School for 2 years and a Teacher at Hunting Hills for 9 years. I am so excited to return back to my roots at Hunting Hills as this is where I started my career with Red Deer Public.
During my career I went back to university to get my Master's Degree in Counselling Psychology. My passion is working with Youth and helping them to explore and work towards their potential. I look forward to working with the Grade 11 and helping them become the HHHS Graduating Class of 2025.
I look forward to a terrific year at Hunting Hills High School!

-Vice Principal - Grade 11
I have had the privilege of teaching Math the last three years at HHHS and am looking forward to switching roles to the Vice Principal of the grade 9s this year (Class of 2026!). Prior to being at Hunting, I taught Math 8 - 12 and CALM, and was a Learning Assistance Teacher for a couple years during my ten year stint in Northern BC. My first two years in Alberta were spent teaching Math 7 - 12 at Ponoka Secondary Campus. While in Northern BC, I completed my Masters in Education with a focus on Leadership and School Improvement.
When I am away from school, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our two kids, being outside, traveling, and skiing.
I am excited and looking forward to working and learning alongside the students, staff, parents and community at Hunting Hills this year!

-Vice Principal - Grade 10
I am thrilled to be a part of the Hunting Hills High School community as your grade 10 Vice Principal. With a passion for education and a commitment to fostering a positive and supportive learning environment, I am dedicated to helping our students succeed both academically and personally. I believe that every student has the potential to achieve greatness, and I am excited to work alongside our talented staff and engaged parents to make Hunting Hills the best it can be.
Outside of my professional life, I enjoy spending quality time with my family, friends and crazy puppy. Whether we are exploring the great outdoors, embarking on new adventures, or simply enjoying a quiet evening at home, family time is invaluable to me. Golfing, sailing, playing music, coffee, Sour Patch Kids, and salt and vinegar chips also top the list.
I am looking forward to an amazing year at Hunting Hills High School, filled with learning, growth, and memorable experiences. Together, we can create a vibrant and nurturing environment where every student can thrive.

-Vice Principal - Grade 9
I am excited to be joining the staff at Hunting Hills as the Grade 9 Vice Principal. During the last five years, I have been supporting teachers as an educational consultant with Alberta Professional Learning Consortium. Previously, I worked as a teacher and administrator in Grande Prairie Public School District. I believe that school should contribute to the development of deep thinking, compassionate humans. All students are capable of learning and part of our work is to find the right environments to help make that happen.
Outside of school, I enjoy reading, making pottery, and spending time with my family. Our summer was filled with lots of traveling adventures.
I can’t wait to see what this year holds for us at Hunting Hills! I look forward to meeting our new grade 9 students and their families.
