I am proud to say I am a product of Red Deer Public Schools. My educational journey began at Westpark Elementary, continued through Westpark Junior High, and concluded at Lindsay Thurber Comprehensive High School, where I graduated in 1993—just before Hunting Hills High School opened its doors.
My connection to Red Deer Public runs deep, not only through my own education but also through my family. I have three children who went through Red Deer Public Schools, with two of them proud graduates of Hunting Hills. Watching them walk across the stage, knowing the care, passion, and opportunity this school offers, made me incredibly proud—not only as a parent but also as an educator.
As a school leader, I believe the heartbeat of any school lies in its people—our students and our staff. I strive to lead with empathy, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to building a school community where everyone feels seen, supported, and empowered to thrive. Hunting Hills has a proud tradition of strong academics, where students are challenged to grow, think critically, and prepare for their futures. Whether it’s being inspired by the artistry and dedication of our fine arts department, energized by the drive and determination of our athletes, or witnessing the innovation and creativity in our CTS shops, digital arts spaces, or robotics lab—I want to be present in the spaces where students come alive.

I am excited to be joining the staff at Hunting Hills as the Grade 9 Vice Principal. During the last five years, I have been supporting teachers as an educational consultant with Alberta Professional Learning Consortium. Previously, I worked as a teacher and administrator in Grande Prairie Public School District. I believe that school should contribute to the development of deep thinking, compassionate humans. All students are capable of learning and part of our work is to find the right environments to help make that happen.
Outside of school, I enjoy reading, making pottery, and spending time with my family. Our summer was filled with lots of traveling adventures.
I can’t wait to see what this year holds for us at Hunting Hills! I look forward to meeting our new grade 9 students and their families.

I am thrilled to be a part of the Hunting Hills High School community as your grade 10 Vice Principal. With a passion for education and a commitment to fostering a positive and supportive learning environment, I am dedicated to helping our students succeed both academically and personally. I believe that every student has the potential to achieve greatness, and I am excited to work alongside our talented staff and engaged parents to make Hunting Hills the best it can be.
Outside of my professional life, I enjoy spending quality time with my family, friends and crazy puppy. Whether we are exploring the great outdoors, embarking on new adventures, or simply enjoying a quiet evening at home, family time is invaluable to me. Golfing, sailing, playing music, coffee, Sour Patch Kids, and salt and vinegar chips also top the list.
I am looking forward to an amazing year at Hunting Hills High School, filled with learning, growth, and memorable experiences. Together, we can create a vibrant and nurturing environment where every student can thrive.

I’m excited to be joining the administrative team at HHHS and continuing my high school journey in such a vibrant and caring school community. I look forward to building relationships and connecting with students, staff, and families in the months ahead.
My career in education began in 1998 in Alternative education settings within the Black Gold and the Parkland School Divisions. However, my connection with RDPSD started even earlier, in the fall of 1997, when I arrived as a student intern from the University of Lethbridge. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of teaching a wide range of high school courses, with a focus on Social Studies and the Performing Arts.
Over the years, I’ve developed and taught programs in Drama, Technical Theatre, Musical Theatre, and Dance, and I was proud to coach the first Improv Teams in our district. Eight years ago, I transitioned into the role of a Learning Assistance Teacher (LAT), where I’ve enjoyed supporting student learning and collaborating closely with staff in new and meaningful ways.
I’ve also had the opportunity to serve on both the District DEHR and SOGIE committees. Advocacy has become an important part of my personal and professional growth, and I value the diverse voices and perspectives that shape our schools. My leadership is grounded in the values of relationships, holistic well-being, and equity. I hold a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Lethbridge, and my passion for learning led me to complete a Master of Education with a specialization in Interdisciplinary Studies at the University of Calgary.
I look forward to contributing to the incredible culture at HHHS and getting to know the amazing people who make this school such a special place.
