Eligibility and Values:
The first scholarship recognizes and supports the enhancement of the teaching profession. This scholarship, valued at $2000, has been established to children of ATA Local #60 who plan to enter a post-secondary program leading towards a career in the teaching profession. Students must show proof of registration in an Education Program in order to receive the funds and a maximum of a one-year deferment is allowed.
The second scholarship, valued at $2000, has been established to assist children of ATA
Local #60 studying any other post secondary program. Members of Local #60 include current members, members who retired with ATA Local #60, substitute teachers or those members on long-term disability leave. Eligible applicants must be graduating students who are going into a recognized post-secondary institution. A maximum one-year deferment is allowed.
A third and fourth scholarship, valued at $1500, will be available to two additional
qualifying applicants at the discretion of the selection committee.

Criteria: In order for an applicant to be considered, he/she MUST submit all documentation that is requested on the application form. Any incomplete applications will NOT be considered.
Please note: The four students selected to receive these scholarships will need to provide further documents, proving enrollment in a post-secondary program, to the Treasurer of ATA Local #60 prior to receiving the scholarship monies. They will also need to provide the Treasurer with their Social Insurance Numbers.
