Social Studies is a passion for me because we learn so much about the complexities about the world we live in and how diverse and amazing it is. I believe in expanding my students' critical thinking skills through the exploration of their own and other people's point of view and ideas. Community service is also very important to me and I encourage my students to work hard and be part of the community that they live.
I have been married to my wonderful husband (Parry) for 25 years. I have two adult sons, Nolan,22 and Nathan, 19, who attended school here in Red Deer and played hockey. Red Deer has been my home for most of my adult life and I am thankful to be part of this community. I am looking forward to the opportunities that this coming year has to offer.
