Well-deserved award!The Alberta Schools Athletic Association (ASAA) has recognized Mr. Brian Johnson as a co-recipient of the ASAA Most Sportsmanlike Coach of the Year! Mr. Johnson has taken our XC Running program and built it up to be one of the most competitive in the province. He is such a positive influence on his athletes and fuels their passion for running and competing! Not only does he encourage his own athletes to strive for excellence, but he also supports the efforts of athletes from other schools! Brian will be recognized at a dinner the evening of May 8th in Edmonton! We are so proud to have him as part of the Athletic Program at Hunting Hills! Go Lightning Go!
Hunting Hills High School - Zone Supremacy Champions!Last year was one of the most successful years in our school history when it comes to our athletics program. We had MANY firsts and ALL of those accomplishments are tallied (according to a set point amount) and tracked throughout the year. Last year, our final tally was higher than both the school across the field as well as the one down the hill and we have been named 3A/4A CASAA Zone Supremacy Champions! This is NOT a first in school history....it is the second time we have had this trophy in our possession. The first time was in 1997-1998. So...needless to say, it has been a long time coming! This is a great accomplishment for our school and please congratulate any returning athletes from last year! This was a true TEAM EFFORT! Now...we try to repeat! Go Lightning Go!
